In 2014, Mr. Yokochi headed to Karuizawa to assist with greenhouse reconstruction. He vividly remembered the sweetness and juiciness of freshly picked strawberries offered to him by a senior farmer from his hometown, and the deep impression it left on his heart. Inspired by that unforgettable taste, he decided he wanted to create that deliciousness with his own hands—and so, he embarked on his journey as a strawberry grower. Later, he was appointed farm manager, overseeing the rebuilt greenhouse and all aspects of strawberry cultivation. For the past 12 years, he has been nurturing strawberries with care and passion, alongside a team that shares his love for the fruit, creating strawberries that are as beautiful as they are flavorful, every single day.
