"Bijinhime", or "beatiful princess", is an original variety from Okuda Farm known for its captivating sweetness as well as each strawberry's prodigious size. The average strawberry is around 1.5 oz., but the average Bijinhime strawberry is almost double that. These larger-than-life beauties are the result of the tireless refinement of the growing process by Okuda Farms. Consistently growing large strawberries that retain this spectacular appearance, flavor, and shape is almost unheard of.

Mikio Okuda's Strawberry Passion

Meet Mikio Okuda, the owner of Okuda Farm whose dream is to create the perfect strawberry. From the age of 21, Mikio Okuda has dedicated his life to the cultivation of luxury Japanese strawberries. He has worked with strawberry brands like "Toyonoka", "Fukuba", and "Benizuru". He dedicated 13 years to studying strawberry research to create the extra-large "Bijinhime" variety.

Everyone Gets a Taste of Royalty

Okuda Farm offers an on-site strawberry picking service for people with limited mobility or have trouble leaving their homes. A box-shaped truck has been convered into a pick-your-own truck that travels to these peoples' locations to bring the experience of strawberry picking straight to more accessible places. The truck is filled with pots of strawberry plants, the walls have strawberry fields painted on them, and even the ceiling of the truck displays a bright blue sky to make everyone feel like they're really at Okuda Farm.
