About Ukiyo-banare Melon

The "Ukiyo-banare" melon, grown at the Hanakotoba farm, is a completely reservation-based melon that is never sold in the Japanese market. The term "Ukiyo-banare" means "something far removed from the mundane world," and everything about this melon — its taste, appearance, and packaging — is completely beyond the ordinary truly extraordinary.

Thanks to the temperature fluctuations typical of the northern region (Aomori Prefecture), this melon achieves a high sugar content and the highest quality. Moreover, the producer, Mr. Yamazaki, carefully nurtures each melon individually (such as managing water levels), suppressing unnecessary growth and ensuring a dense, high-quality melon. The taste is characterized by an incredibly fragrant, rich sweetness. The packaging includes features of the famous Japanese phrase "Are yo are yo to odoridasu" (which means "Before you know it, you'll start dancing"), and once you taste this melon, you'll be so delighted that you'll feel like dancing — it’s that delicious.

This melon is used at high-end restaurants in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, and is a super-rare luxury melon known only to a select few in Japan.
